Travelling to other countries provides so much photographic inspiration, particularly when those countries are significantly different from my own. My main focus here is on the people, showing them in their normal daily activities to give a flavour of their lifestyle.

One of the places I visited in Myanmar was a weaving factory on the edge of Lake Inle.  Here, girls worked on ancient, noisy, wooden hand looms like something from a 19th Century English mill.  The cloth they produced - using silk, wool or thread made from lotus stems - was intricate and beautiful.
